The Origins of the Angelina Capital
Introducing The Angelina – our timeless Cast Iron Capital.
In this week’s post, we’re highlighting the Angelina, a design that has stood the test of time.
We originally modelled the design in 1983 after a Victorian picket fence in Hawthorn as we thought that the pattern captured classic elegance.
We named it The Angelina in honour of one of our long serving salespeople back then, Angie.
True to tradition, we exclusively craft our capitals from cast iron, using the same sandcasting methods perfected over a century ago.
Today, The Angelina has become a signature feature in fences across Melbourne, combining heritage with craftsmanship, and we are proud to have named it.
The Angelina Capital’s telltale spire, allows it to align seamlessly with most Victorian Picket Fences, and the detailed filigree pattern adds the ornamentation that the Victorian Era encompassed.
